We had an exceptional breakfast. Avocado quesadillas, flat bread breakfast and poached eggs with avocado. All served in the beautiful courtyard with an opportunity to do some shopping in the antique shop, while we waited.

Today we travelled to The Stables for coffee at "Martha's restaurant" and accidentally stumbled into (gatecrashed) the Tunes in the Park Festival with lots of Festival goers having their morning coffees and breakfasts! What a lovely atmosphere as different generations and families all mingled together with decent background music and great coffee!

What a lovely cafe in perfect setting. My partner said it was the best soup she had had in ages. Coffee excellent too. And short walk away lovely ops stately home with lovely gardens to walk your lunch off in.

Wow, quirky and then some!! Loved it here, my kinda place. Lovely courtyard setting in this old building. Plenty of outdoor seating. Unfortunately when I landed, twas only cake and drinks, food was finished. But I opted for the white chocolate and raspberry frangipani and a ginger beer. The lofty rooms, the decor and furnishings - all fabulously quirky. Great vibe. Lots of differing rooms to sit in. And on top of all this loveliness, they do Saturday Blues Sessions, my fave muso. Varying bands The Mighty Howlers, Southern Fried Groove Queens, Big Dog Boogie Band, Railroad Blues. I mean, wow, a night of the blues in this setting.... total heaven! A short walk away is the Abbey with its stunning Norman entrance and it's William Morris windows. Very highly recommend the Stables if you like a quirky vibe. Marvelous.

Truly is a unique place ! We watched the famous BBC show Beyond Paradise which is filmed here ! It’s an amazing building with massive history & you can not stop taking pictures in summer it must be truly beautiful with its amazing court yard to sit outside ! The inside is fantastic true to history & keeping its form ! Their hot chocolate is a must & my son quoted it’s the best he has ever had ! My wife loved the place ! The staff are so friendly 10/10 fantastic service ! The clothes shop on this site is amazing ! Must be amazing to get married here ! Enjoy the pictures & go there your self ! Next time we will have some cake ha ha !

Most beautiful, kind and genuine people offering amazing service! Just the most exquisite food I've had in a long time! Martinis to die for! In a stunning location! Oh and very eco friendly! What more can you ask for! Will definitely be one our favourites to return to.
